The term is often used as part of a longer word (and also in the plural). For example, a craft-brother is a fellow worker in a particular trade and a craft-guild is, historically, a guild of workers in the same trade. "Ringcraft" is part of a boxer's skill. See some further examples below. The term is often used to describe the family of artistic practices within the decorative arts that traditionally are defined by their relationship to functional or utilitarian products (such as sculptural forms in the vessel tradition) or by their use of such natural media as wood, clay, glass, textiles, and metal. Crafts practiced by independent artists working alone or in small groups are often referred to as studio craft. Studio craft includes studio pottery, metal work, weaving, wood turning and other forms of wood working, glass blowing, and glass art. Folk art follows craft traditions, in contrast to fine art or "high art". Both Freemasonry and Wicca are known as 'The Craft' by their adherents. Some video games allow crafting. Get the cute shaped erasers and hot glue them to earring posts. You can get bulk metal shapes like snowflakes and such at a crafts store. Then you can turn them into pins and earrings. If you want to fancy them up you can apply embossing (powder, then heat gun to seal). They don't cost much and are quick and easy to do! Crochet is really good, too, because you can take it with you if you are working on small projects like granny squares. The coolest craft I ever saw was left in my science desk by a previous occupant. He or she had taken the wire from a spiral notebook, and made it into a table -- on different day, I'd found a chair made out of wire. You just fool with it until it looks right, I guess. I think it needs a certain amount of talent and patience, though. It's not a paint-by-numbers sort of craft.
